Cavapo

The Cavapoo is a mixed dog breed made up of Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Poodle (miniature or toy). This breed is known for its excellent personality, cuteness, and easy maintenance. It combines the cheerful and friendly character of the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel with the intelligence and hypoallergenic coat of the Poodle.

The Cavapoo is an elegant, loving, and social dog. It is an excellent choice for both families and individuals living alone. With its small size and hypoallergenic coat, it is also well-suited for apartment living.

Physical Characteristics

  • Size: Small to medium breed (23-45 cm, depending on Poodle parent size)

  • Weight: 5-12 kg

  • Coat Type: Soft, wavy, or curly (low-shedding and hypoallergenic)

  • Eyes: Round, expressive, and dark-colored

  • Coat Colors: Wide variety, including:

  • Apricot

  • Black

  • White

  • Chestnut

  • Tricolor or multicolor patterns​

Care and Nutrition

  • Grooming: Regular brushing (at least 3-4 times per week) and occasional professional grooming.

  • Exercise Needs: Moderate exercise, including daily walks and playtime.

  • Diet: High-quality small-breed dog food with balanced nutrients.

  • Health: Generally healthy but may inherit conditions from parent breeds, such as hip dysplasia, heart disease, or ear infections.

Training and Socialization

 

Thanks to their Poodle intelligence, Cavapoos are easy to train and respond well to positive reinforcement. Early socialization helps them develop good manners and confidence.
